This is part 1 of a live craps game at Wild Wild West Casino in Atlantic City.
Tomorrow, I will post a review of Wild Wild West Casino. It’s an interesting casino that caters to the younger crowd.
In this video, you will see me play 100x. You’ve heard of 100x games, and maybe you thought that no one ever plays 100x. Well, witness one of only two real 100x games that are available for viewing on the internet (guess who owns the other 100x video).
The craps game is $5 minimum with 100x odds. The field pays double and double, for those who are interested in the field.
The only bonus bet is the FireBet. Wild Wild West does not have the more popular ATS bet.
Part 2 of 2 will be available in one week. Part 2 will start right where Part 2 ended.
A minor spoiler…there was a complication that you will see in Part 2. It gets really interesting in Part 2.

The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa at 1 Borgata Way in Atlantic City, New Jersey has proved that offering the best in gaming, restaurants, and hotel accommodations pays big dividends. Big enough that month after month, quarter after quarter, the Borgata continues to improve in revenue and guest count while maintaining impressive guest service scores.
While many Atlantic City casinos have pared back on their table games, the Borgata has actually added games and the poker room now has 85 tables. If you like Three Card poker, there are a dozen tables, and of the 264 total games, twelve are craps tables!
The property has two beautiful spas, pools, 2,000 guest rooms and suites, and a dozen restaurants to choose from. If you want to get a drink away from the table games and slots, there are an even dozen bars and two nightclubs to choose from. Shopping includes a half-dozen stores and a gift shop. If you like horseracing there is a 100-seat horse book with a bar and grill. All you have got to do is make your way to the 161,000 square foot casino, its 3,700 gaming machines, and of course those 12 craps games.
Driving into Atlantic City is the easy part; just remember that several routes are toll roads. Once you are close you can come in on Absecon Blvd (I-30) or Brigantine Blvd. which is also called Atlantic Brigantine (I-87) which will take you across the bridge and past Harrah’s and the Golden Nugget. You can’t miss the Borgata entrance. If you come in on the Atlantic City Expressway (also a toll road) and find yourself close to the boardwalk, take a left on Atlantic and a left on Dr. Martin Luther King and then follow it around to Huron/Marina Blvd. Parking is $5 for valet or self-park.
Craps Action
If you are on the eastern seaboard, you won’t find better craps action than at the Borgata. You should expect $10 and $15 craps games with $25 standard on some tables. You can also expect $5,000 max bets on those games. Higher limits during holidays and weekends are also available.
If you are new to craps, don’t expect any sympathy at the tables. The players at the Borgata are hard-core craps enthusiasts, but don’t be intimidated. Just understand that they know their game, so give them room. Don’t talk with the shooter; they are concentrating on their bets and their dice. You also want to make sure there is time to get your chips for your cash without holding up the game.
Although players in Nevada and Mississippi may be happy to have new players join the game, the players in New Jersey, and especially at the Borgata, like the dice to fly, so you might even wait until the end of a hand or at least when a point is made to get change. Atlantic City doesn’t get the kind of action it did 20-years ago with players every night bringing paper bags filled with bills to the games (honest, it happened all the time), but large cash buy-ins and heavy marker play is standard at the Borgata.

A good number of shooters like to set the dice and exercise their best dice control. Although it slows down the game a bit, the boxmen usually allow the shooter time to lob the dice the way they want. They may still ask for the dice to bounce against the back wall, but there are a lot of lobbers betting big money.
The Stickman – Prop Bets and the Dice
The stickman position won’t be as casual as you might find in Reno or Lake Tahoe. They won’t be making jokes and keeping up constant patter with the players, because they won’t have time. There are a lot of prop bets coming in every roll and the stickman will be busy all night. They will handle horn bets and book your other props while hawking the dice and getting the payoffs right for every winning bet.
Standard hard way payoffs work at the Borgata in Atlantic City, namely the hard 4 and 10 will pay 7 to 1 and the hard 6 and 8 will pay 9 to 1. Your hard-way bets will be “off” on the come-out roll.
Inside Dealers – Place Bets and the Line
The inside dealers have a tremendous amount of work to do every roll on a busy game. They have to pay the field, pay or take from the come line, pay the place bets, press any bets the players ask for, and pay the line when it wins, take the bets down when it loses. In between those things they’ll hand off the dice to new shooters, solicit prop bets, make change, hand off marker chips, take chips in for marker payoffs, and set up your place bets.
Are they working hard? Absolutely, so when they are bent over passing chips around so fast your eyes can barely keep up, consider tossing them a bone now and then (or even better, a few chips). The boy’s like to be on the pass line with you also, and you can bet the minimum and take odds as the hand gets better. Remember, you can take 5x odds on your place and come bets, so a simple $10 wager on the pass line can be backed-up with $50. On the 4 and 10, one winner with $10/$50 pays $110. That’ll keep you in good shape for a while.
Some players budget their money by taking double odds to start and only take 3x, 4x, 5x odds after they have won several bets. You’ll have to keep an eye on your bankroll since your risk of ruin is much greater when taking heavy odds. Don’t be discouraged at winning only double odds to start. If the dice are really hot, you’ll have plenty of time to take advantage. If they are cold or choppy, you won’t go broke right away and you’ll have a chance to stay in action.

As for shooting the dice and placing your bets, make sure you have a game plan to start with. Don’t hold up the game trying to decide what to do and what bets to make. Pass the dice if you don’t want to shoot, and just make a pass line bet with odds until you have the feel of the game and you’ll do fine!
